4. Select the appropriate Holding Code for the library in question.

5. Search by ISBN as usual. Apply the Holding Code to the Record. If you have multiple copies, apply the holding code to each copy. Enter the price, call number and barcode for each item.

6. Add a 900 field with the Call Number. NOTE: This field enables the library's ILS to import the call number into their item display. It is easiest to copy the call number from the 852 field into the 900 field. This step may vary depending on the ILS of the Owning Library.

7. Add a 099 field and paste the call number into that field. Make sure to add a ‡a between each word. (this field is needed to print the spine label, the ‡a tells the label designer to go to the next line) For example FICTION ‡a CUSSLER, or MYS ‡a PATTERS, or TALKING ‡a BOOKS ‡a MEYER etc. NOTE: This step may vary depending on the ILS of the Owning Library.

8. Save the record to the local file manager by clicking F4, or going to Action. Save record to local file.

9. Export the Record by clicking on the Export button (E with the green arrow), or F5, or going to Action—Export.

10. Follow steps 1-8 for the entire order. Once the entire order is cataloged proceed to the Label printing Instructions.
Label Printing Instructions
1. Load the paper into the printer. Upside down w/ the spine labels to the left.
2. Go to the Local Bibliographic Save File (it’s the icon of the disc w/ the B on it).

3. Sort by Date/Time Added in reverse chronological order. (Click on date/time twice and that’ll do it.) This will put the recently cataloged records on top.

4. Highlight the records for which you want to print labels. You can use Shift to select multiple titles or just drag the mouse along the records.

15. Go to File Print Labels.

6. A pop up window will appear and ask you Column and Row options. If you are using a new sheet of label paper, they will be Column 1 Row 1. You will have to change these for reprinting on the same sheet of label paper. Say OK, and the labels will print.

7. For printing multiple labels for 1 title, highlight the individual title and go to File—Print Labels.
A different pop up will appear asking for number of copies. You can ignore the other fields in this pop up. Enter the number of copies you need and select OK.

8. You will get another pop-up asking for Row and Column Options. Adjust the options for printing on the same sheet.

9. Say OK and the labels will print. Repeat for other titles that have multiple copies.
Sending the File to Owning Library
1. After you’ve cataloged and printed the labels, you need to send the records to the Owning Library. First, open up the file and navigate to the librarynameexport folder in the OCLC_export share.

2. Open librarynameexport and you will get a list of all the files. Find librarynameexport.dat and rename it librarynameexportMMDDYY.dat

3. Transmit the file as an email attachment to the designated contact at the Owning Library.
