Instructions for Matching Labels

 

1.     Scan the labels and check that the barcodes and the Owning Library belong together.  For example, if the labels are for Scranton agencies (ALBRIGHT, CHILDLIB, GREENRIDGE, BOOKMOBILE), all of the barcodes should have a 50686 prefix.

 

2.     Check at least the last three digits of the barcode number on the label with the barcode on the book itself.  If it does not match, either you have the wrong copy or the label is incorrect.

 

3.     Examine the label as you match it to its book and check for errors.  Each title label should contain the following information: Barcode, Library, Author, Title and Date.  The spine label should contain the following information depending on type of material:
