LCLS: CAP Manual:
CD-ROMs
*All CD-ROMs must be repackaged into the same cases we use for single DVDs. If the CD-ROM came in a cardboard box, cut the box up into pieces and use the double-sided tape to attach the pieces to the DVD case inside the front plastic sleeve. If the CD-Rom came in a CD case, take the front booklet and the back insert and color photocopy them, making sure to resize them to fit the case properly. Cut to the covers to fit the case and laminate them. Use the double-sided tape to attach the copies to the DVD case inside the front plastic sleeve. Make sure to put the accompanying booklet into the DVD case.

Labels:
Spine labels The spine label should be placed on the paper insert of the DVD case, so that it appears on the spine of the case, 1/8th inch from the bottom.

Dots
A colored dot should be placed over the spine label, so that the lower
edge of the dot matches up with the lower edge of the label. Each library has its own color dot; see
section on ‘Books’ for details.
Title labels The title label should be placed in the upper right-hand corner on the inside of the front cover of the case.

Owning library Each CD-ROM should have the library identification and copy number printed on each disc with black permanent marker.

Security
Abington and
Albright CD-ROMs get the same security that is used on music
CDs. These should be placed
directly on the front of the disc.
Take care that the metal security strips do not cover any part of the
barcode, and that the security goes on smoothly, with no bubbles.
